1970s Fixer Upper

I decided to make a quiet book for our little one who will be here in October. Thank you Pinterest for all the inspiration! Here's the quiet book cover. Here's a little pouch to store crayons, or a notebook.   You've got mail! The mailbox opens to reveal a letter. Gone fishin'. The fishies are attached by Velcro. Who doesn't love a good gumball machine? The gumballs are attached by Velcro. Monkeying around. The balloons are attached by Velcro. Let's take a drive! My toolbox! They go inside the little "toolbox" pouch.

I've been meaning to post for weeks, but unfortunately I've been busy being lazy. A few months ago I made this for my friend Ashley when she had the cutest li'l baby girl named Ivy! I used a charm pack (Moda "Ruby") and Bella white for the sashing. I quilted it with a free motion darning foot on my sewing machine. Isn't this fabric adorable? Charm packs are perfect for scrappy quilts! Happy sewing...
