Quiet Book

Image
I decided to make a quiet book for our little one who will be here in October. Thank you Pinterest for all the inspiration! Here's the quiet book cover. Come fly with me  - kite puzzle Animals in the barn. This is one of my favorites. The animals are finger puppets! I love the chicken... Let's count to 10! Here's a little pouch to store crayons, or a notebook.   You've got mail! The mailbox opens to reveal a letter. Gone fishin'. The fishies are attached by Velcro. Who doesn't love a good gumball machine? The gumballs are attached by Velcro. Monkeying around. The balloons are attached by Velcro. Let's take a drive! My toolbox! They go inside the little "toolbox" pouch.

Baby Quilt

I've been meaning to post for weeks, but unfortunately I've been busy being lazy. A few months ago I made this for my friend Ashley when she had the cutest li'l baby girl named Ivy! I used a charm pack (Moda "Ruby") and Bella white for the sashing. I quilted it with a free motion darning foot on my sewing machine. Isn't this fabric adorable? Charm packs are perfect for scrappy quilts! Happy sewing...

Sewing Kit

Greetings! It's been a while since I've posted. Oops. Here's my latest project. I made it for my mother-in-law Renee for her birthday. There's a zipper pocket, Velcro pocket, a square for pins, and a little pocket for notions or other miscellaneous items. For the back I did "peek-a-boo" pleats. I got the idea from this tutorial. And it ties up nicely so you can take it anywhere! I had fun with this mini project. Hopefully this summer I will have more to post!

Mario Quilt

I couldn't post this earlier because it was Brandon's Christmas present...but at last, here it is! Some fun facts.... I used all thrift store materials (t-shirts, fleece blankets, and a bedsheet) I designed this pattern on an excel spreadsheet. Each square is 1 inch x 1 inch. I cut a lot of squares. Mario finished! This coin was made from an ASU t-shirt... For the back I did an old school Nintendo design out of fleece blankets. My friend Ashley gave me this idea! It was fun watching Brandon open it Christmas morning. This was a fun project, but it required a lot of patience!
